| Subject: CFW ME VS. PRO B (No experience with hacking PSP) Mon Dec 26, 2011 9:31 am | |
| So i'm a buddy to all this CFW stuff but i've been seeing a lot of people saying that ME is better than PRO and vise versa. On another forum i read that it basically depends on the PSP model you have and not the actual CFW. So with that being said I'm going to be getting a PSP Go pretty soon and i was wondering what where the pro's and con's of PRO B and ME? Another thing that i read on a different forum was that ME was a little bit more difficult to install than PRO B is this true?
*how come when i write n o o b it turns it into buddy? |

| Yup, ME=M33. The way I see it is, PRO=Exploit (AKA HEN) because what it does it patches your psp up. ME is basically a full custom firmware for your psp. Im still using M33 still this day but if your new to hacking use PRO because in order to use a ME, you have to had a cfw before to update to ME |

| Well, the misinformed strike again... PSP Go CAN NOT run ME, not full ME anyway. With the PSP Go, you basically, in my opinion, have 2 options. Option A: Install official firmware 6.60, from there, install 6.60 LME v1.6. It is the EXACT same firmware as full ME, only run through a Kernel mode exploit, thus not requiring any files be written to Flash0. PROS: ME on a PSP Go, full ISO support, PSN support, Plugin support, basically a full CFW without any flashing. CONS: Must be reinstalled upon EVERY cold boot, power loss, or freeze. Option B: Downgrade or update the Go to 6.20 (regardless of FW, you can get it to 6.20 with ease). Once you have 6.20 on the PSP Go, install 6.20 PRO B-10 fix 1. Once you install PRO B-10 fix 1, install the 6.20 PRO permanent patch. PROS: Permanent, even on a PSP Go (no need to reinstall after cold boot), Full ISO support, Full Plugin Support, Full PSN Support, NoDRM Engine (play any PSN DLC regardless of what account you are logged into), Full support via the PRO CFW Google Code community, and MUCH MORE. CONS: 6.20 lacks some features available in 6.60 (Qriocity, Some regional extras) Now, in my honest opinion, 6.20 PRO B-10 fix 1 Permanent (OPTION B) is a MUCH better decision, even though I am a total ME fanboy. I actually run 6.20 PRO on my Go, and 6.60 ME on my 1000.
