Whenever i make a render/cutout i always use the magic selection tool on the large areas.. there is NOTHING 1337 about taking more time to accomplish the EXACT SAME result. If you have an image with very distinct color differentials in the area that you want IN your render, and the areas that you want cut out, there is NOTHING wrong with using the magic selection tool when you can. If you posted that you made this render with JUST the MST and no pentooling at all, i still would have given you the big thumbs up. Nice work, KIU

Dude, it is all about the end result. Using the MST on areas very close to the render can make it look very messy, but if you do it correctly, and adjust the tolerance of the tool so that it only selects what you want it to, i wont think any less of you at all. Again, end result. If the end result reflects an attention to the details (the edges are smooth and not choppy, there arent any random pixels that were not erased outside the render, etc) and a nice render, who cares how you got there in the long run?
