Hello Everyone!!

Im new to this site and i am here to get some help with the problem im facing with my psp. I never had a cfw or anything install but then again gave my psp to one of my mate and he did something with it. After that whenever i tried to play the saved games i had on my memory stick it says "The copyright protection information is invalid". So what i did was downgraded my software version from 6.60 to 6.20 by seeing a post of UBeeNStryKeD in youtube through which i got into this site. His video was helpful so i though as he recommended this site you all will be very helpful as well. Please if someone can help me with this problem i would be grateful. It is because i paid so much money for the games i just dont want to waste them.
Thank you all
Cheers...

Back Up All your files on your pc
Format The Memory Stick[Sorry but this mite fix it]

and put the game back on there but try formating the memory stick

if that don't work don't give it back to that guy that's y i keep my psp to myself only no others unless family members are somthing

hmm...format your mem stick, get cfw (pro b9, works great for 6.20) and either redownload the games on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (because they might be corrupt) but before you go and redownload the games try to run your game again using your new cfw. if all else fails pm sworn or nato. im sure they know how to deal with this Very Happy

Umm...on your psp go to system settings scroll till you see format memory stick. but before that save a copy of your games to your pc because im pretty sure formating mem stick deletes somethings. As for cfw search uBeenStryeD on youtube find his i guess home page and scroll thru his vids til you see something similar to "How To Install 6.20 Pro B9" if you see the pro b4 vid that works also they both install the same Very Happy

You can do that with just bout any cfw as far as i know. I just got into isoz/cso a month ago and i love it. We have a ton of isoz/cso on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] you should check it out Very Happy. After your cfw is installed properly(watch vid tutorials to learn how to install) make a folder named ISO at root of mso(mem stick). The root of mso is the first thing you see when you look at your psp on pc w/o clicking any other folders. And when you download a cso file just copy n paste it straight to ISO folder and BOOM!! free games Very Happy. If you still have pronlems keep replying on this topic or send me a pm ;P To play the iso go to the bottom game folder and scroll thru and pick a game

Wait.... Ummmm... I think I. Had this problem....
Is It That The PSP. ISO games Doesn't show in the PSP?
If so... then you got to activate your CFW first. Then look in where they should be. It should be there. That's what I did and now I can safely play ISO/CSO files.

Also I Do Believe the ISO folder has to be in CAPS. And maybe you should ask that Guy what he did to it. If he can tell u and u tell us. We can pinpoint the problem more easily

my mate actually tried to put a cfw in my psp. All he said was he tried that chicken thing, he said it was something like the pro b anyways after i got back the psp i downgrade the firmwire from 6.60 to 6.20 and now using the pro b9 (thanx for ur help). I can easily play the .cso files as they come in just one file when you download but with .iso i dont understand. There like loads a file under one file when you download and i tried putting that in the ISO folder in my psp the same way as i did with the .cso file but it doesnt show up in my psp. I have also tried by going to the PRO VSH Menu and change UMD ISO MODE to both M33 Driver and Sony NP9660 but still no use. Could you please help me with how to play the iso files as there are loads a iso files available. Thank you....

I had the same problem, but I never really figured out a good solution for the problem. I just searched the cso version of the iso. Being that it's compressed unlike iso's, it actually saves lots of memory too.

wow...how did this one slip by me...anyways, let me see if i can make this short.

1. DONT GIVE YOUR PSP TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CFW IS. your friend is not too bright trying to use chickhen in the first place, it is not something for amateurs to tackle on their own.

2. if you bought and downloaded those games off of the PSN, you will need to re-download them from your account. dont forget to activate your psp for games via the PSN as well, or else you will get the 'copyright protection error'.

3. you shouldnt have any problems with playing ISO's on CFW, just need to make sure youre putting them in the right place. also, if you try to download a large ISO file that has been split up into mulitiple parts, you must first download all parts, then extract all parts at once to receive the one ISO file. make sure that you are using the correct ISO Driver (i only use Inferno, but try the Sony one for the EBOOT's if you cant get them to play still). all ISO files must go into the "ISO" folder, which you need to create on the root of your memory stick. if your games wont show up, make sure you are still in CFW via System Settings. all EBOOT files must also go into the GAME folder, not the ISO folder and vice verse (any game downloaded from PSN will be in EBOOT format).

4. is any of this making sense to you?

5. putting head in my hands and pulling hair out.

6. still not working?

7. well....sucks to be you nerd.

8. just jokin...let me know if problems persist.

Thanks mate for the tips. Next time i would be cautious enough not to hand out my psp. Well it does make sense about the thinks you said about the .iso files but with me on to it is not working lolz. for example i got this street fighter alpha 3 max from pirate bay, now inside the folder it got two files
1. PSP_GAME - followed by two folders SYSDIR , USRDIR and also there is a .sfo file
2. UMD_DATA.BIN file

I'm sorry but im kinda dumb regarding this one. It is just easier to get .cso files and play but damn most of the psp games are in .iso format. Sorry for the trouble but how does it actually work?? i know asking the same thing well it would be great if you could help or else i guess i should better stick to .cso files lolz...
Thanks a lot buddy...
