PS Vita Launch Games Galore
Lets talk launch games...
Sony dropped word that the PlayStation Vita will see 26 games come launch day on December 17th (in Japan), with 74 games to follow shortly thereafter, for a total of 100 games. So when the Vita hits North America on February 22nd, 2012 we'll no doubt have plenty to choose from. Some of those 26 titles include Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (of course), Power Smash 4, Fish On, and Project N.O.E.L.S; those will be followed by Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, Rayman Origins, FIFA, and more; however, most look to be Japanese titles -- see attached pics below.

And, like we said earlier, don't chuck your UMDs out -- Sony is devising a program for existing UMD owners -- but they'll have more on that later.
PS Vita Release Confirmed For Europe And Australia
We’ve heard about the release of the PS Vita in Japan as expected, however fans have been left in the dark about the confirmation of Europe and Australia. Well no longer must you wait, your patience has paid off and we now have news regarding the release date in Europe and Australia. Sony has finally decided to make public the date we have been waiting for; the PS Vita will be hitting shelves in countries around the world on February 22nd.
What about prices though? Well the standard Wi-Fi version will amount to a total of £229.99 (GBP), €249.99 (Euros) and $349.95 in Australia. However as expected the Vita that also includes 3G functionality will reach higher retail prices of £279.99 (GBP), €299.99 (Euros) and $449.95 in Australia, bare in mind that this is the cost without your fees from your 3G price plan.
As far as games are concerned, it is rumoured that a staggering 80 are already in production during the pre-release era of the new innovative handheld. Not only this but the Vita is said to have a form of augmented reality, similar to that feature on the Nintendo 3DS.
Finally if you’re bummed out about the wait, you might be in luck. If you order quick enough you can have one imported from Japan in time for Christmas, why you ask? Well the PS Vita is going to be region free; this is great news for all of you Sony fans hoping to have a brilliant game filled holiday season.
Let me know your thoughts.
Modnation Racers For PlayStation Vita Gets A Fitting Name
Man, I love playing, sharing and creating but not in the Little BIG Planet sense, but more track building, character creating and racing as Super Mario around remade Crash Team Racing and Mario Kart tracks in my favourite PlayStation-exclusive kart racer, Modnation Racers - Because it's generally simple and fun. It’s pretty cool that the PlayStation Vita will be getting some love from the guys at Sony too.
It took a while but after asking the general public for potential names for the Vita-exclusive Modnation title, Sony confirmed today that the final name will be Modnation Racers: Road Trip. It’s not as stupid or as shitty sounding as the "Vita" name and it works. It works because the portable game can be taken around on…Well; you guessed it – Road trips!
Now, gee! Isn’t that fitting?
North America Release Date
We know the PlayStation Vita will be available in Japan first on December 17th, 2011. And we also know it'll be available in Europe and Australia come February 22nd, 2012. What about North America? Because that's where I be. Well that, according to IGN, who received official confirmation from Sony, will also be available on the 22nd of February. That's only like 125 days away ... as of me writing this.
But if you just can't wait you can always import the device straight from Japan, because after all -- the PlayStation Vita is region-free -- meaning no content restrictions. Import, pay duties and play ... all day! I'll probably do that. I gotta be one of the first peeps sportin' the device around Toronto. You'll find my "Near" ghost everywhere.
