The Canadian law firm based out of Toronto Ontario, McPhadden Samac Tuovi, has filed a class action lawsuit against Sony claiming damages of over $1 billion for breach of consumer privacy due to Sony's recent security fiasco on the PlayStation Network and Qriocity. They are also asking for Sony to foot the bill for two years of credit monitoring and fraud insurance for approximately 1 million PSN and Qriocity users in Canada.

The class action suit was filed against Sony Japan, Sony USA, Sony Canada as well as other Sony entities. The claim was filed on behalf of Mississauga resident Natasha Maksimovic, who alleges Sony has exposed its customer base to identity and financial theft, as well as other more personal matters such as "fear, anxiety and emotional distress."

Natasha went on record with The Canadian Press stating:

If you can't trust a huge multinational corporation like Sony to protect your private information, who can you trust? It appears to me that Sony focuses more on protecting its games than its PlayStation users.

Probably won't win this POS suit, but it's at least nice someone is making a point. I HEREBY REP + NATASHA MAKSIMOVIC! WHO'S WITH ME!?
